Project Description

I created this logo and the name “Together Let’s Stop Traffick” for the International Police Training Institute and the FBI NAA when they jointly launched a global initiative to resolve one of the biggest problems in combatting human trafficking – to complete lack of any coordinated research and information center on trafficking. The name I came up with was inspired by the need for a collaborative solution to the problem as well as conveying that this is something we all need to participate in if we really want it to stop. Combatting human trafficking is not something that can be done in isolation and ending slavery in all its vicious forms is something everybody needs to take a stand on.

The inspiration for the graphic part of the logo came from a combination of an international symbol for “STOP” (a flat facing hand), international color for “STOP TRAFFIC” (red) and a moving illustration for Affirmative Action by Mirko Ilic (for the New York Book Review). I’m a big fan of Mirko’s work and this opportunity allowed for a collaboration that I had always aspired to.

The thing that pleases me most about this design is that is was a collaborative solution and that aspect demonstrates the spirit of the global initiative.
